UOG Men's Soccer Remains In First Place But Andersen Bombers Only One Point Behind
The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team remains in first place in the Guam Football Association's Budweiser Premier League
after "Week 12" of the season but the Andersen Bombers are only one point behind the
Tritons and two other teams are undefeated as UOG comes off a tie with Sidekicks SC.
UOG is 7-0-1 and have 22 points, the Bombers are 7-2-0 with 21 points while the Rovers
FC and Isla De Ladrones FC are both 6-0-0 with 18 points.
UOG faces Isla De Ladrones FC on Saturday night, February 3 at 9:00pm in a major match
for both teams. The Tritons also face the Andersen Bombers at the end of the month,
on Sunday, February 25th at 5:00 p.m. So the standings may shift in the next 30 days
for several of the top teams.
The Tritons have played sluggish since the holiday break, tying the Sidekicks SC 1-1
and defeating the Shipyard Haya 5-3 in a match that was tied late into the game, both
opponents have combined losing records of 3-11-2 and are in the lower third of the
Premier League standings.
The Tritons will have to gain a spark to be in the league lead when March arrives
to the island.
