UOG Men's Soccer Falls Into 2nd Place In GFA Premier League
The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team dropped into 2nd place of the Guam Football Association's Budweiser Premier League behind undefeated Isla De Ladrones FC (9-0-0) with 27 points while the Tritons have 25 points. UOG (8-1-1) remains ahead of the also undefeated Rovers FC (8-0-0) with 24 points.The Islanders FC (8-2-0) are also tied in 3rd place with 24 points.
The Tritons last game was cancelled with the 5th place Andersen Bombers (7-4-0) when the Bombers faced heavy weekend duty and could not muster a team for the Sunday match. The game will be rescheduled for a later date.
The Tritons and Rovers FC meet this Saturday at 7:00pm at the GFA National Training Center for a very important match in the league as the season approaches the last two months of the regular season and teams are trying to place themselves in the higher seeds for Premier League Playoffs which start in May.
