UOG Signs Two More to Soccer LOIs
The University of Guam Men’s Soccer Team signed Kyle Legozzie to an Athletic Letter of Intent and a partial tuition scholarship on Friday to play soccer for the Tritons.
Legozzie is from St. Paul High School where he was co-captain of the team. He was
a member of the Guam National Team on both the U14 and U16 levels.
Kyle played last season for the NAPA Rovers who won the Guam Football Association’s
Division II Championship and defeated the University of Guam twice during their season.
He has been in the Rovers FC club for 8 seasons and has never finished lower than
2nd in the GFA Division I or 2.
The University of Guam Men’s Soccer Team also signed Isaiah Macias to an Athletic
Letter of Intent and partial tuition scholarship to play for the Tritons in 2017-18.
Macias played high school soccer at George Washington where he was named “captain”
as a junior and senior. He was All-Island 2nd team at a junior and 1st Team All-Island
as a senior with one “Top Four” finish for George Washington in his career.
Isaiah was a strong academic student as well, ranking in the “Top 20” of his senior
class and a member of the Honor Roll. He was also a well-rounded student-athlete who
was named 1st Team All-Island in football and rugby.
The Tritons were 15-7-0 in 2016-17 and finished 4th in the 11 team Guam Football Association
Men’s League (Division II) in their first year of competition in 15 years. The team
went 1-1 in the Bank of Guam GFA Cup. UOG will play this season in the combined GFA
Division 1-2 League for 2017-18.
