With the passage and signing into law of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES ) Act, the University of Guam will receive $4.5 million — with an initial direct distribution to students of approximately $2.3 million for emergency financial aid grants to help cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus.

Geographic Information Specialist Maria Kottermair with the Research Corporation of the University of Guam has developed an online map to connect residents with public service agencies and businesses that are open during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Profiles of the 136 COVID-19 cases include three probable cases (formerly referred to as clinically diagnosed cases), reports of 11 confirmed positive cases received from the U.S. Naval Hospital that were tested by the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego, and five confirmed positive cases through Diagnostic Laboratory Services (DLS).

More than 20 cases of drinks from SHRM were delivered to COVID-19 workers and volunteers last week.
