Fanuchånan 2019 Commencement Ceremony
Annmarie T. Muna, a licensed independent insurance broker and general manager for AM Insurance, will deliver the commencement address on Dec. 22.
“Annmarie’s success story is one that many UOG students can relate and aspire to,” said UOG President Thomas W. Krise. “She had dreams of big things, and her education here at UOG prepared her to achieve her goals. Now she is one of the island’s most successful professionals in her field.”
Muna graduated from the University of Guam in 1983 with top honors, earning her bachelor’s as a double major in management and business administration while working as an insurance clerk for Universe Insurance Underwriters. Following graduation, she transitioned into management and eventually opened her own insurance company, AM Insurance, in 1994 in response to a growing need on island for excess and surplus coverage of large local companies.
Muna now has more than 40 years of insurance knowledge and experience. She is a licensed
insurance broker who is uniquely qualified to access numerous international markets
for her clients and is one of the most experienced brokers in the servicing of government
accounts on Guam. She is also a licensed real estate broker.
Her knowledge and expertise have bolstered the company’s growth, affording AM Insurance
the reputation for being a leading broker on Guam.
Muna is a strong believer in giving back to the community, both financially and through service.
She currently serves on the board for the Guam Chamber of Commerce, the American Red Cross, and the Guam Community College Foundation Board of Governors.
