Follow these Steps to Become a UOG Triton!

NOTE: ONLINE APPLICATIONS ARE FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY.  

1. Apply. Complete International Student Application with a fee of $77

     Application Deadlines:

     • For Fanuchånan 2026 (Sept. - Dec.): March 09, 2026
     • For Fañomnåkan 2027 (Jan. - May): September 4, 2026
     • For Finakpo' 2027 (June - Aug.): February 08, 2027
       
       

2. Submit transcripts. Have official high school and/or college transcript submitted from issuing institution directly to the UOG Office of Admissions & Records along with Release of Information and Signature Form. All transcripts must be converted to U.S. standards by one of the following U.S. evaluation companies:

3. Demonstrate English proficiency. Take Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS) tests and request for official scores to be sent directly to UOG's Office of Admissions & Records. Otherwise, enroll in and successfully complete the UOG English Language Institute Program. International students who originally received an F visa for English language training and successfully completed the UOG English Language Training as certified by ELI are not required to take the TOEFL if they apply for change of educational level to degree-seeking. The following scores are required for UOG acceptance:

   1. TOEFL paper-based: 500

   2. TOEFL computer-based: 173

   3. TOEFL internet-based: 61

   4. IELTS: 5.5

4. Submit immunization records (updated within six months for PPD and MMR 1 and 2) and Medical History form to Student Health Services. For more information, call (671) 735-2225 or email uogstudenthealth@triton.uog.edu.

5. Submit copy of current passport and visa if you are currently under a U.S. visa.

6. Make adequate financial arrangements for the desired period of enrollment.

   1. Submit a Financial Support Form certified by a bank or with a bank statement attached.

   2. Proof of a guaranteed minimum amount of $1,000 must be submitted for initial entry.

   3. Private scholarships may be available to international students based on various criteria. For more information, visit the Financial Aid Office.

7. Provide proof of medical insurance coverage (minimum of $1,000) that is valid on Guam. This is required to protect UOG international students from the high costs of medical care services in the United States.

8. Arrange housing. Before arriving on campus, make arrangements for on-campus housing with Residence Halls Life. On-campus housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

9. Meet with designated official. Upon arrival at the University, obtain an appointment as early as possible with the University Designated School Official at the Office of Admissions & Records.

10. Take placement tests. Upon arrival at the University, take the English and Math Placement Tests (undergraduate students only).

11. Complete the Sexual Misconduct Training  online. Office of Admissions and Records will send a link to take the course. Must complete training using university gotritons email address. Students must complete the training by deadline date of the semester you intend to start. Contact admitme@triton.uog.edu for more information.
