History of CNAS
Upon receiving federal Land Grant status on June 23, 1972, the University of Guam established the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences in 1974 to carry out the Land Grant mission of teaching agriculture, the mechanic arts, other scientific and classical studies, and military tactics.
The college became the College of Natural & Applied Sciences in 2003 by combining the former College of Agriculture & Life Sciences with the mathematical sciences, natural sciences, and pre-professional programs from the former College of Arts & Sciences and the military science program from the former College of Business & Public Administration.
