A Strategic Plan in Progress

The strategic planning process started in August 2023, when President Enriquez officially took office. Early planning activities included:

• A campus-wide survey for students, faculty, staff, and administrators
• Industry stakeholder listening sessions with representatives from the public and private sectors including healthcare, engineering, military, and education
• Internal Stakeholder Review Session
• Feedback report from the Emerging Tritons Student Development Day hosted by the 62nd Student Government Association.
• President's Council and Dean's Council review sessions

The strategic planning committee is currently reviewing the data and results of these meetings and the plan is beginning to take shape. 

Emerging initiative areas include: a focus on UOG's academic enterprise delivering high public value, developing the region's professional workforce, and re-aligning the University's financial position among others.
