Student Government Association
Thank you for taking an interest in becoming one of the most prominent student leaders on campus! The University of Guam Student Government Association strives to serve the students to the best of our abilities, and we are looking for candidates that encompass all the qualities of a great student leader. What we have to offer you is a unique experience that you might not be able to find anywhere else; we work closely together as a council to improve campus life for all the students through hosting events, voicing concerns they may have to the administration, and serving as the face of the general student population – all while attending school full-time (or part-time) and working! The events we host range from Tritons Out Loud to the SGA assemblies to annual Charter Day celebrations.
We are working hard to ensure that the students get what they deserve, and we want to show them that the University of Guam is more than just the Natural Choice – it is the best choice! We want the concept of “No Place Like Home” to resonate with students of all grade levels, whether they are incoming freshmen or graduating seniors.
With that said, we are looking for candidates that are committed, honest, confident, positive, and intuitive. If you believe you have the potential for any of the positions, and have met the minimum qualifications, do not hesitate to apply.
Applications are now open for two (2) vacant positions as a Senator in the 61st Student Government Association for the remaining term from January 2023 to May 2023. The deadline to submit declaration of candidacies is on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. via email to uog.sga@triton.uog.edu.
