Safety and Security - Alertus
The University of Guam Safety and Security Office (SSO) will use the Alertus mass notification system to notify the UOG Community of high-priority, active threats on campus.
The Alertus desktop app will simultaneously notify those who are using UOG-issued computers of an ongoing or a sudden potential threat. The emergency notice will flash on the computer screens of those who have downloaded the Alertus system.
In an emergency, the mass notification will be followed by more detailed information through the university’s normal channels such as our email and mobile phone messaging and social media platforms if applicable.
This Alertus system will be installed on work computers only. Subsequent rollouts will be expanded to mobile phones for employees and students.
The Office of Information Technology is working with the SSO in this effort.

pop-up alert message about the emergency on campus and what actions to take.
Q: Is this for employees only? What about the students?
