Welcome to UOG's Strategic Planning website!
The University will be developing a strategic plan from February to August 2019 to guide our decisions and pursuits throughout the next five years and beyond.
The University’s motto is “Excelsior” or “Ever Upward,” and over the last few years, UOG has been working to become a great university and is primed to continue moving in that ever-upward trajectory. To represent this, I am calling our strategic plan "Para Hulo' "— which is the CHamoru translation for "Ever Upward."
The strategic planning process will be rolled out in two phases to meet UOG Board of Regents deadlines. This website provides information about the strategic planning process, areas to gather your input, and constant updates to where we are in the process.
I want to thank our faculty, staff, administrators, and students for your work and continued dedication to this institution. Your contribution and guidance during this strategic planning process is necessary for the success of our University.

The strategic planning process will take place over two phases from February to August 2019 to meet UOG Board of Regents deadlines. A Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) made up of the 16-member President's Council and 12 other individuals from across the campus recognized by their supervisors and colleagues as being exemplary employees with a track record of helping to make UOG better.
The University Community's part in the startegic planning process is to provide ideas and input through surveys which will be available at specific steps of the process. All faculty, staff, administrators, and students are encouraged to participate.
The SPC will then analyze, discuss, and identify the best and most impactful ideas for the University going forward. During various steps of the process, you will have an opportunity to provide additional feedback on the SPC's discussions.
