In the opener, U-Fly returned to the Triton League with a close victory over the UOG Tritons. The Tritons opened the match with a tough 25-22 win in the first set. The score remained close throughout, with neither team building more than a three-point lead, but UOG made the final push to secure the set.

U-Fly responded in the second set and won by the exact same score, 25-22, using a late push to even the match. UOG came out flat in the third set, and U-Fly took advantage with a 25-13 victory to move ahead 2-1.

In the fourth set, the Tritons fell behind early, trailing U-Fly 5-0. UOG battled out of the early hole, tied the score, and went back and forth with U-Fly before pulling out a 25-23 win to force a deciding fifth set.

UOG jumped out to an early 6-1 lead in the fifth, but U-Fly battled back to tie the score at 6-6. The Tritons held an 8-7 advantage when the teams switched sides of the court. The set was tied again at 12-12 before U-Fly made one final push, scoring the final three points to capture the set 15-12 and the match 3-2.

U-Fly opened the season at 1-0, while the Tritons fell to 0-1.

In the nightcap, HAGGAN started strong and looked ready to take control of the match with a 25-12 victory in the opening set. UMITIDE responded in the second, showing its resilience with a 25-21 win over the young HAGGAN squad.

With the match tied 1-1, UMITIDE captured a hard-fought third set 27-25 to take a 2-1 lead. HAGGAN answered in the fourth, cruising to a 25-14 victory to send the match to another deciding fifth set.

UMITIDE held an 8-7 lead when the teams switched sides of the court, but HAGGAN rallied down the stretch to take the set 15-13 and secure the match 3-2.

HAGGAN begins the season at 1-0, while UMITIDE starts at 0-1.
