The Lady Tritons dropped their opening match in the Lady Triton Volleyball League on Thursday night, November 20, with a 3–1 loss to the Lady Bombers in the nightcap. Guam Pro defeated Pacific Volleyball Academy (PVA) 3–0 in the opening match.

In the nightcap, the Lady Tritons struggled in the first set and fell 25–16. They played better in the second set, keeping it close, but still lost 25–20.
 
However, in the third set, the Lady Tritons came out determined. They jumped to a 21–12 lead. The Lady Bombers mounted a comeback and cut the lead to 22–20. UOG held on and won the set 25–23 to force a fourth.
 
However, the Lady Bombers responded with strong play in the fourth set and won 25–18, taking the match 3–1.
 
The Lady Bombers now stand at 1–1 in the league, while the Lady Tritons fall to 0–1.
 
In the opening match of the evening, Guam Pro and Pacific Volleyball Academy, the two youngest teams in the league, faced off. Guam Pro utilized their experience from over three years in the Triton League to win two close sets, demonstrating their ability to prevail in tight moments against older teams. PVA is competing in their first season.
 
Pacific Volleyball Academy played a strong first set and led 20–18 before Guam Pro surged ahead to win 25–21. Guam Pro then took the second set 25–10 to go up 2–0.
 
PVA responded with another competitive effort in the third set and even held a set point. Guam Pro survived and came back to win the set 27–25, securing the match.
 
Guam Pro is now 1–1 in the Lady Triton League, while Pacific Volleyball Academy sits at 0–1.
 
The Lady Triton Volleyball League will play a makeup match tonight to replace the games canceled on Tuesday due to Guam Power Authority outages at UOG.
