The University of Guam Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant continue to keep Guam moving forward in the protection of our natural resources and a net zero carbon future.

Their mission is challenging, and researchers remain undaunted by the tasks that involve working with watersheds, fish populations, ocean energy, the circular economy, native and invasive species, workforce training, traditional medicine, and an array of projects that benefit our island and the region.

Through partnerships with various government agencies and private sector enterprises, CIS&SG are restoring forests, addressing climate change, providing guidance for the community on food security and initiating research on backyard aquaculture systems.
