The University of Guam men's basketball team won the 4Stars Tournament on Friday night at Tamuning Gym with a 40-36 win over Nazzu. The Tritons reached the finals with a victory over the MicroFriends in the semifinals on Thursday night.

In the championship game, Nazzu jumped out to an early 7-2 lead. The Tritons chipped away at the deficit and took their first lead of the contest at 19-18. UOG led 21-20 at halftime.

UOG maintained the lead for the rest of the game. The Tritons stretched it to 7 points and forced Nazzu to foul in the final minutes to stop the clock. UOG hit 6 of 8 free throws to secure the 40-36 victory.

Ralph Macaldo was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. He scored 13 points and was the only Triton in double figures.

The Tritons will next compete in the Triton Men's Basketball League. They will face the MicroFriends in the Hall of Fame game on March 14 at 2:30 p.m. The Hall of Fame game tips off the Triton League season for the spring of 2026.
