The University mourns the loss of Ms. Rita B. Cruz (formerly Walsh) on December 7, 2024, at the age of 80. Ms. Cruz retired from the University of Guam in May 1996 after serving as a Financial Aid Officer. She also held the position of Interim Director of Financial Aid in 1985.
Last respects will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the Guam Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leyang Barrigada. A Mass for a Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Santa Teresita Catholic Church in Mangilao.
