UOG Tumon Tritons Defeat Southern Heat Omega 4-3
The UOG Tritons took a 3-0 lead in the first half despite starting the match with only three players. They held on to win their Guam Football Association Futsal League match against Southern Heat Omega 4-3 at the UOG Calvo Field House.
The Tritons began with the minimum three players but prevented Heat from scoring while outnumbered 5-to-3. The Tritons nearly scored with only three players on a fast break. Shortly after, UOG reached the full five-player lineup and netted three first-half goals to lead 3-0 at halftime.
The Omega came back in the second half, scoring three goals, but UOG added one to secure the 4-3 victory.
Landon Miles and Giorden Devera each scored twice for the Tritons, while Joshua Cepeda, Brenden Tablan, and Scott O’Brien scored for Southern Heat Omega.
UOG now holds a 5-11-0 record, while the Cobras are 4-12-0 in the GFA Futsal League.
UOG plays again on Monday, February 24, at 8:30 p.m. in the UOG Calvo Field House against the Southern Cobras.
