The game opened with both teams playing evenly, but the Singerz managed to maintain a 1-3 point lead for most of the first 10 minutes. The Stingerz extended their lead to 8-10 points in the second part of the first half, leading by 10 at halftime 33-23.

UOG cut into the Stingerz lead to start the second half and tied the game at 40-40 before Stingerz spurted out to another 10-point lead at 54-44. The Tritons narrowed the lead down to 2 points at 56-54, but the Stingerz won the game as time ran out for UOG.

The Tritons were led by Ralph Macaldo and Jacob Mercado, who each scored 14 points.

UOG finished the tournament with a 1-3 record and will begin play in the Triton Men's Basketball League on March 13.
