Troupe Wins Triton League Championship Over Andersen Bombers
Troupe was expected to win the Triton Men's Volleyball League championship on Sunday, but the Andersen Bombers had other plans, defeating Troupe 3-2 and forcing the championship into the "If Necessary" game on Tuesday night. However, Troupe came ready to play on Tuesday and secured the trophy with a 3-0 victory over the Bombers at the University of Guam Calvo Field House.
Troupe played the match with speed and intensity, delivering several massive spikes. They won the first set 25-18 and the second set in a similar fashion, 25-19, to take a 2-0 lead.
Troupe was comfortably leading the third set but substituted some players at 23-18. The Bombers managed to close the gap to 23-22, prompting Troupe to bring back their players. Troupe ultimately won the set and the match 25-22.
Troupe finished their championship season with an 8-2 record, while the Andersen Bombers completed the Triton League with a 5-6 record.
