The Tritons won the Triton League last semester with a 7-0 record, losing only two sets all season. However, this spring season's team is different, with MVP Isaac Limtiaco sidelined by an ankle injury and several players from last semester now playing for Troupe. As a result, the Tritons fielded a much smaller and less experienced team on Sunday.

The first set went to the Bombers, 25-16, as the Tritons could not get any traction in the set, even with the Bombers encountering challenges with legal formations and adjusting to FIVB rules. The Tritons started finding their rhythm in the 2nd set but still fell short, 25-22.

The Tritons gained momentum in the third set, winning 25-20. Both teams played well in the fourth set, which saw multiple set points and back-and-forth action, but the Bombers ultimately won 32-30.

In the nightcap, Troupe, with several members of last fall Triton's team on a new squad in the league, beat Team Elevate easily in the first set, 25-13. Team Elevate regrouped in the second set, leading for much of it, but Troupe rallied to win 25-22. The third set followed a similar pattern, with Troupe prevailing 25-20 to secure the match.

Both the Andersen Bombers and Troupe now hold 1-0 records, while the Tritons and Team Elevate start the season 0-1.

This season, the Triton Men's Volleyball League features only four teams, playing a double round-robin regular season.
