Triton Athletics Hires Joey Tedpahogo as Women’s Volleyball Head Coach
The University of Guam Triton Athletic and Field House Department hired Joey Tedpahogo as the Women’s Volleyball Coach for the college’s athletic department. Tedpahogo replaces Katrina Cruz, who was the coach for the past year. Tedpahogo is currently the coach for the men’s volleyball program at UOG.
Coach Joey Tedpahogo has led the UOG men’s volleyball team to a championship in the Triton Men’s Volleyball League in the fall semester of 2024 and has a total men’s record of 20-7 over three and half seasons with UOG. The Tritons finished 2nd in the Triton League and another 3rd place finish. The men’s volleyball team at UOG has also won several community volleyball tournaments over the past two years.
UOG Athletics Director Doug Palmer said, “We feel Coach Joey will bring a lot of energy to the program as he has done for the men’s program. Currently, the change is just for the spring semester, and we will open the position for the 2025-2026 academic year this summer”.
The Lady Tritons Volleyball League season will start the first week of April and continue through the first week in May. The Lady Tritons finished third in the Lady Triton League in the fall semester of 2024.
The women’s volleyball team at UOG will have a tryout on Wednesday, February 12, at 8:00 p.m. in the UOG Calvo Field House. Contact Doug Palmer at (671) 735-2862 or palmerd@triton.uog.edu for more information.
