Team Austability Rolls Past Tritons 116-57

****Team Austability continued their impressive run, overpowering the UOG Tritons from start to finish. The Tritons kept it close early, trailing just 22-16 after the first quarter, but Austability’s defense locked in to hold UOG to only 13 points in the third quarter while erupting for 33 of their own, extending their lead to 71-42. The second half was all Austability as they controlled the pace, dominated in the paint, and kept the Tritons from finding any offensive rhythm. Joe Blas led all scorers with 27 points, with strong support from DJ Osborn (25 points) and Ralph Macaldo (22 points). Tristan Valdez led UOG with 10 points.

Team Austability improves to 3-1 while the Tritons drop to 0-4.

KFC Bombers Hand MicroFriends First Loss in 102-57

****In the nightcap, the KFC Bombers bounced back from their first loss of the season in a big way, handing the MicroFriends their first defeat with a dominant 102-57 win. The first quarter featured a few lead changes before the Bombers pulled ahead 17-13, then tightened up their defense to extend the lead to 15 by halftime.

The Bombers continued to control the game in the second half, capitalizing on MicroFriends turnovers and foul trouble. With top MicroFriends players struggling to stay on the floor, the Bombers closed out the game with a 35-10 fourth quarter to seal the win.

Jaylin Calhoun led the Bombers with 15 points, while Tommy Aupitiou had 14 for the MicroFriends.

KFC moves to 3-1, while MicroFriends fall to 3-1.
