Lady Triton Volleyball League Serves Up an Exciting Spring 2025 Opener
The Spring 2025 season of the Lady Triton Volleyball League got off to an electrifying start Monday, March 31 at the UOG Calvo Field House, with both matches ending in three-set sweeps packed with fast-paced rallies, fierce blocks, and standout performances.
In the season opener, the Andersen Bombers came out firing on all cylinders, defeating Legacy in straight sets (25-12, 25-20, 25-20). With crisp passing and aggressive net play, the Bombers took early control and never looked back. Nicole Pajaro led the offensive charge with powerful kills from the outside, while setter Shaniah Aguon orchestrated the attack with smooth ball distribution and key assists.
Legacy showed heart in the second and third sets, with Areyanna Garrido directing the offense and Asia Taylor putting up strong swings and clutch digs. But the Bombers' relentless pressure at the net and precise service game proved too much to handle, as they secured their first win of the season in commanding fashion.
In the second game of the night, the Rogues made a strong statement with a 3-0 sweep over Guam Pro 2 (25-14, 25-13, 25-22). Known for their explosive energy and fearless defense, the Rogues brought the heat from the first serve. Faith Piper dominated at the net with critical blocks and key putaways, while Alessandra Pagdilao kept the pace fast and fluid with sharp attacks and unshakable court presence.
Guam Pro 2 found rhythm in the final set, tightening the score behind the hustle of libero Miliani Santos and strong defensive plays from Miayla Crose, but the Rogues held their ground and sealed the sweep with a late surge of momentum and poise under pressure. With the opening night in the books, fans can expect an exciting season ahead filled with high-level volleyball, competitive matchups, and rising stars on the court.
