In the News: 'Great learning experience': Navigating Guam student internships
Kyle Bailey’s passion for statistics and math led him to an internship under the NASA Guam Space Grant.
The 18-year-old accounting major at the University of Guam was a teacher’s intern with Rachel Jolley, Ph.D. As an intern, his responsibilities included assisting students with biostatistics material, grading assignments, and reviewing teaching material.
“I would be recommending this internship to other people. Even though I only did the teaching side, there were several other positions. I would recommend that peers my age — doesn’t matter who — just apply for it. It really is just a great learning experience,” Bailey said.
