The University of Guam invites the public to celebrate its 57th Charter Day on — the largest annual event on campus, drawing thousands of attendees — Thursday, March 6, 2025. Charter Day commemorates when the Territorial College of Guam was officially renamed the University of Guam in 1968.

With this year’s theme, “From Island Wisdom to Global Impact,” UOG highlights its deep cultural roots and its worldwide influence through its mission of “Ina, Deskubre, Setbe – To Enlighten, To Discover, To Serve.”

A Day of Festivities

The celebration kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with an opening ceremony at the Calvo Field House, followed by a full day of activities across campus. The Center Courtyard will feature food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, games, and family-friendly entertainment.

Throughout the day, UOG faculty, staff, and students will host a variety of engaging events, including the CHamoru Language Competition, Chemistry Titration Competition, cultural presentations and traditional huts, tours of UOG’s Marine Lab, Fine Arts programs, Virtual Aquifer, science and agriculture activities, drone and UOG Army ROTC demonstrations, and more!
