UOG Tumon Tritons Defeat the Southern Cobras SC 13-8 In GFA Futsal Match
Led by Giorden Devera’s five goals, the UOG Tumon Tritons defeated the Southern Cobras 13-8 in a Guam Football Association Futsal League match on February 24 at the UOG Calvo Field House.
The Cobras started strong, scoring twice in the first minute before Nathan Toves put the Tritons on the board, making it 2-1. Blaise Alig extended the Cobras’ lead to 3-1 at the 7-minute mark, but Devera responded a minute later, cutting it to 3-2. The Cobras struck again at the 10-minute mark for a 4-2 lead, but the Tritons answered with three straight goals to take a 5-4 lead at halftime.
UOG extended their lead to 7-4 before the Cobras closed the gap to 7-5. The Tritons then sealed the game with four more goals, reaching 11-5 before finishing with a 13-8 victory.
Devera led UOG with five goals, while Toves added three. Javian Cruz and Andrew Stenson each scored twice, and Auguste Mialon contributed one. Trevin Rioja led the Cobras with three goals.
The Tritons now hold a 6-11-0 record, while the Cobras dropped to 5-1-11. UOG will conclude the regular season on Wednesday night against Wings FC at 8:30 p.m. at the UOG Calvo Field House.
