On Sunday night, the UOG Tritons and Fair Zesh were eliminated from the Triton Men's Basketball League playoffs with losses to the MicroFriends and KFC Bombers in the UOG Calvo Field House.

In the opener, the MicroFriends beat the UOG Tritons 69-62 in a game in which the Tritons could only make one good run during the game. However, it was not enough to overcome the MicroFriends. UOG started the first half with almost no offense in the game, scoring only 9 and 8 points in the first two quarters, to be down to the Friends 35-17 at halftime.

The University of Guam team made their only run of the game at the start of the 2nd half, cutting the MicroFriends lead down from 18 at half to single digits in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half. However, the MicroFriends recovered and pushed their lead back to 12, entering the 4th quarter. The Tritons scored 23 points in the 4th quarter, but the MicroFriends added 20 points and held off the Tritons to win the game 69-62.

The MicroFriends were led by Ken Brozo with 22 points, while the Tritons were led by Kristan Guzman, with 17 points, 9 from the free throw line.

The MicroFriends are now 4-4 in the Triton League while the UOG Tritons finished the fall season at 0-7.

In the 2nd game of the night, the KFC Bombers beat the Fair Zesh team 107-89. But Fair Zesh started the night off well, leading the Bombers 29-24 in the first quarter as EJ Mori scored 9 points in the quarter to lead Fair Zesh.

The Bombers returned in the second quarter, outscoring Fair Zesh 30-13 as their defense shut out Mori for Fair Zesh. A balanced Bomber offense had four players score at least seven points in the quarter, giving them a 54-42 lead at halftime.

Fair Zesh tried to get back in the game in the third quarter, but KFC matched Fair Zesh's offense and led 78-66 going into the 4th quarter. The Bombers cruised to a 107-89 win and eliminated Fair Zesh from the playoffs.

Luke Eckstein and Chris Townsend led the KFC Bombers with 28 and 27 points respectively. EJ Mori led fair Zesh with 28 points and Mat Soto scored 20.

The KFC Bombers are 5-2 in the Triton League while Fair Zesh finished the season with a 1-6 record.
