Two scholarship slots are reserved for UOG students.

The scholarship offers a fully paid, three-week summer scholarship with the theme of “Development Goals for a Sustainable Society” in Japan in June and July 2024. Roundtrip airfare, domestic transportation, and per diem are covered.

“This program will help me in my future career by having relationships with scholars from other countries and Japan,” Leon Guerrero said. “The program mainly focused on learning about Sustainable Development Goals, however, I also thought of this event as a cultural exchange,” Leon Guerrero said.

“As a UOG student, this is an opportunity to meet new individuals and to learn different cultural practices. The trip provides different perspectives on the rural and urban sides of Japan. Just experiencing the different environments was amazing for me and the other scholars!”

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on February 26, 2024.
