Need money for college? UOG hosts FAFSA workshops this summer
Attending college often starts with deciding its affordability, and the University of Guam is ready to help students and their families find ways to make higher education more affordable.
This summer, supported by a $177,308 grant from ECMC (Education Credit Management Corporation), UOG is ready to help Guam students and their families find ways to make higher education more affordable through a series of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshops and application completion events throughout July and August.
These workshops intend to simplify the FAFSA application process and provide specialized guidance so that students can get access to federal student aid, workstudy job assignments, and loans specifically designed for higher education.
To help expand student financial accessibility, UOG’s FAFSA Student Support Strategy aims to increase the number of completed and accepted FAFSA applications submitted by residents of Guam and to offer specialized support for non-citizen students through community events and partnerships across Micronesia.
