The Tritons were shorthanded, as many of their players played on other teams during the Christmas break. Even Coach Argie Flores had to suit up and play for the Tritons.

The first half was close, with the Tritons leading much of the period, but the MicroFriends finished the half strong and had a 30-24 lead at halftime.

The MicroFriends controlled most of the 2nd half and scored 37 points. The Tritons could only muster 23 points, with 15 coming from Coach Flores, who hit five three-pointers.

The MicroFriends had a balanced attack, with 10 players scoring in the game, including three players scoring 9 points. Argie Flores led the Tritons with 19 points, and Rico Taitague had 15.

The Tritons opened the tournament with a 0-1 record, while the MicroFriends were 1-0.

The Tritons played again in the tournament on Thursday night, at 5:30 pm, against Puff Supply. MicroFriends second game of round-robin play was against Mobil BrotherHoops on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm.
