In Memoriam: Melissa Taitano

The University mourns the loss of Melissa Taitano on June 15, 2024 at the age of 67. She is the sister of Dr. Rachael Leon Guerrero, Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences and sister-in-law of Mr. Glenn Leon Guerrero, Director of Facilities Management Services.
Ms. Taitano graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, and earned her bachelor of science degree at California State, Fullerton. As a Certified Public Accountant, she served as a corporate accountant in diverse industries, and most recently served as a Financial Manager for the Administrator of the Courts for the State of Utah.
The University offers our deepest sympathies and condolences to her family and keeps them in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
