Students from UOG and the Guam Community College can now apply for this exciting opportunity to become Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-licensed remote pilots and gain hands-on experience with using drones to support research and industry endeavors. This year, UOG Drone Corps will be partnering with local industry professionals to coordinate an immersive knowledge and flight simulation program that will provide students with a holistic experience with drone operations, safety, and regulations.

This year’s knowledge course is tentatively scheduled from July 8 to August 3, 2024, with flight missions occurring throughout the year.

Eligibility

To be selected for the UOG Drone Corps program, you must:

• be a U.S. citizen
• be a part- or full-time student at UOG or GCC with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• be 18 years or older
