In Memoriam: Joanne Crotts
The University mourns the loss of Joanne Crotts, a former Associate Professor of Learning Resources, on April 5, 2024, at the age of 65.
Ms. Crotts joined the university as an instructor in 1991, received tenure, and served at the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Library until 2000. Ms. Crotts also served as a librarian in the Guam Public Library and helped establish medical libraries on islands throughout the western Pacific.
Ms. Crotts earned a degree in English Literature from George Washington University and a Master of Library Science degree from Catholic University.
She is the wife of Dr. Milton Crotts who served as an Associate Professor of Music in the College of Arts and Sciences.
A Celebration of the Life Ceremony will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 6:00 pm, in the William Spencer Boyd Chapel on the Asheville School Campus at 360 Asheville School Road Asheville, NC.
The Crotts family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MountainCare, 68 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803, where Joanna spent many happy days dancing, singing, playing trivia, and making new friends, or to Four Seasons Hospice, 211 S. Main St, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
