In Memoriam: Tan Eugenia Calvo Aflague Leon Guerrero
The University mourns the recent passing of Tan Eugenia “Nenang” Calvo Aflague Leon Guerrero. She was 93.
Tan Eugenia is the mother of Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero; widow of the late Bank of Guam founder and former University of Guam Board of Regents member Tun Jesus Leon Guerrero; and mother of UOG Endowment Foundation Chairman Jesse Leon Guerrero.
Tan Eugenia and her late husband have been gracious partners and generous supporters of the University of Guam. The University’s School of Business and Public Administration Building is named in their honor and helps to keep their legacy known for future generations of UOG students.
Mass of Intention is offered at 6 p.m. Monday-Friday; 4 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. Sunday at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Yona. On Sunday, Mass will start at 10 a.m.
Last respects will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, at the Boys’ Chapel, Father Duenas Memorial School in Mangilao. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon, Saint Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Peace Memorial Gardens in Windward Hills, Yona.
The University extends our deep condolences to Governor Lou Leon Guerrero, UOG Endowment Foundation Chairman Jesse Leon Guerrero and the Aflague and Leon Guerrero families and keeps them in our prayers.
