In Memoriam: Matilde Candaso Santos

The University mourns the loss of Matilde Candaso Santos, mother of Doreen Fernandez, Program Coordinator III for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and mother-in-law of Dr. Annette Santos, former Dean of the School of Business and Public Administration. The late Matilde Santos passed away on August 29, 2023.
Mass of Intentions is being offered at 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, 5:30 p.m., Saturday and 10:00 a.m., Sunday through September 10, 2023. Rosaries will follow immediately at the San Vicente/San Roke Catholic Church in Barrigada.
Last respects will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the San Vicente/San Roke Church in Barrigada. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. and interment will follow at the Guam Memorial Park, on Leyang Street, Barrigada.
The University offers our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Santos family and keeps them in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
