ASA Guam Estab­lished Program to Stim­u­late Com­pet­i­tive Research (EPSCoR) and NASA Guam Space Grant programs are hosting the second annual NASA Guam Research Symposium on Tuesday, April 11 at the Hyatt Regency Guam Salon Room.

The symposium is a pre-conference event of the 2023 UOG Conference on Island Sustainability.

This year, the programs will be showcasing the progress of the multi-agency Fluid Lensing mission to produce high-quality, 3-D maps of Guam's priority coral reefs. The symposium will also include research presentations funded by the host programs, UOG Drone Corps highlights, and NASA Guam Space Grant internship perspectives. This encompasses the morning activities of the symposium, which will be from 9 a.m. to noon on April 11.

In the afternoon, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the programs are hosting a series of remote sensing and geographic information system workshops and seminars:

• 1 p.m. - UOG ESRI licensing walkthrough (For UOG faculty, staff, and students)

• 1:30 p.m. - GIS/Remote sensing real-world applications (For GIS enthusiasts)

• 3:00 p.m. NASA NeMO-Net Interactive Session (for high school and college students, as well as experts in coral identification)
