Students invited to Law Week discussion about civility in leadership
In line with the American Bar Association’s 2023 Law Day theme, “Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility, and Collaboration,” the Judiciary of Guam will be hosting a panel discussion on advancing civility in leadership. The event will take place Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the University of Guam CLASS Lecture Hall from 2 p.m. -3:30 p.m.
The panel will include distinguished speakers, including Supreme Court Associate Justice
F. Philip Carbullido; former Senator Mary Camacho Torres; Dr. Juan Rapadas, Clinical
Psychologist at the Judiciary of Guam; and Dr. Samuel Betances, senior diversity consultant,
and trainer. Panelists will present and share insights on the value of overcoming
differences, resolving disputes, and collaborating to address the challenges facing
the island.
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. The free event is open
