Businessman Michael Z. Ysrael is featured during the School of Business and Public Administration Dean’s Speaker Series on Jan. 27, 2023. Ysrael talked about the opportunities his father, the late business pioneer Alfred Ysrael, saw in the early years of Guam’s tourism industry when tourists from Japan slept on beaches because of a lack of hotel facilities on the island. The Ysrael family subsequently developed major hotels in Guam including the Dusit Thani Guam Resort, the former Outrigger Guam Resort and the former Bayview and Oceanview hotels.
