In Memoriam: Miguel Aguon Taitano

The University mourns the loss of Lt. Col. Miguel Aguon Taitano, USAF (Retired) on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the age of 94. Lt. Col. Taitano is the father of Dr. Rachel T. Leon Guerrero, Vice Provost of Research and Sponsored Programs, and the father-in-law of Glenn Leon Guerrero, Director, Facilities and Management Services.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church (7804 Eckhert Road) in San Antonio, TX. Internment with full military honors will be held at 1:00 pm at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
The University offers our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Lt. Col. Taitano and keeps them in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
