The UOG Faculty Biennial exhibit is open to the public until Jan. 28 at the Isla Center for the Arts on the University of Guam campus.

The Isla Center for the Arts at the University of Guam announces the opening of the UOG Faculty Biennial, featuring recent works created by faculty members of the university’s Fine Arts Program. The exhibit will be open to the public and for group tours until Jan. 28.

The pieces on display include an array of media, including ceramic sculptures, acrylic paintings, prints, photographs, and digital images. 

The featured artists include: 

  • Lewis S. Rifkowitz, Professor of Art
    Rifkowitz has taught courses in sculpture, ceramics, and three-dimensional design since 1989. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in ceramic sculpture from Montana State University. 
  • Ric R. Castro, Professor of Art
    Castro teaches classes in painting, design, and illustration. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. 
  • Irena Keckes, Associate Professor of Art
    Keckes teaches printmaking, drawing, basic design, and environmental art. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in fine arts from The University of Auckland in New Zealand. 
  • Victor Consaga, Adjunct Instructor
    Consaga teaches photography and is a professional photographer. He received his training while on staff at Latte Magazine and the Pacific Daily News.
  • Perry Perez, Adjunct Instructor
    Perez teaches graphic art courses in the Fine Arts Program. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in advertising illustration. He has more than 20 years of experience as a graphic designer/illustrator.  

The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday until Jan. 28, excluding holidays, at the Isla Center for Arts, located in House #15 of Dean’s Circle on the UOG campus. Admission is free, and donations are appreciated.
