The deadline to apply is May 30.

To be eligible you must meet these criteria:

• 17 years of age or older
• have a high school diploma or equivalent
• be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• pass criminal history checks
• be able to serve 20–25 hours per week from Monday through Friday and an additional four hours on Saturdays

Members who are enrolled in the program qualify for the following benefits:

• monthly living allowance of $528 before taxes
• $3,097.50 scholarship award upon successful completion of a 12-month term with 900 hours of service
• a wide variety of professional development trainings to develop leadership skills for life
