Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society inducts 17 new members
Seventeen new student and faculty members were inducted into the Guam chapter of the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society on Jan. 21. Pi Alpha Alpha is a global honor society that recognizes students and promotes study in the fields of public administration, public policy, and public affairs. The UOG chapter is administered by the School of Business & Public Administration.
“I am honored to welcome our new members to Pi Alpha Alpha. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize excellence in our midst," said Dr. John Rivera, associate professor of public administration and Pi Alpha Alpha Guam Chapter founding adviser. "Today, we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students. We also acknowledge the wonderful faculty that selflessly contribute their time and talent to make our MPA program the award-winning program it has become. Now, more than ever, the world needs those who will rise to the occasion and do their part to see us on the other side of this pandemic. Let the great work continue to forge our path.”
The honor society has more than 160 chapters around the world in member schools of the National Association of Schools of Public Administration.
