Logan Hopkins returns to Triton Men’s Basketball
Logan Hopkins — a former Triton Athletics Student-Athlete of the Year — has returned to the University of Guam to play basketball for the Tritons after a two-year hiatus.
The 5-foot-10 student-athlete was a leading scorer for the Tritons in the past, serving as a guard and 3-point marksman. He was also named the Most Valuable Player for the men’s basketball team and was known for his 30- and 40-point games. But in 2020, Hopkins had to leave the island to care for a sick family member in Texas.
He made his way back to UOG this year to finish his degree in marine biology and play for the Tritons once more.
“We have stayed in contact over the past two years, and we knew he wanted to return to UOG to finish his degree as well as play again for the Tritons,” said Triton Athletics Director Doug Palmer.
With Hopkins back on the team, the Tritons are set on improving their 10-12 record from last season.
