Tritons open baseball tournament 1-2, Dodgers take the lead
The University of Guam Tritons Baseball Team opened its first matches in 20 years this past weekend at the “University of Guam 70th Anniversary Celebration Tritons Baseball Invitational” held at the Paseo Stadium in Hagåtña. The Tritons ended weekend one of the two-weekend tournament with a 1-2 record, while the Dodgers took the lead with a 3-0 record.
After defeating the Tritons 6-5 on opening night, the Dodgers continued their winning streak by beating the Guam Junior National Team 10-8 on Saturday and claiming a comeback victory over Team Amigos on Sunday.
The Tritons secured a victory for UOG by defeating Team Amigos 16-6 on Saturday. As the No. 3 seed, the Tritons will play again at noon on March 5 against the Guam Junior National Team.

All matches will be played at the Paseo Stadium in Hagåtña. Players, umpires, administrative officials, and spectators must show proof of vaccination upon entry. Adults will be charged a $3 entrance fee, non-UOG students will be charged $2, and UOG students are free of charge. Each game is limited to 100 spectators.
