5 agriculture students receive Bernard Watson Scholarship

Five agriculture students from the College of Natural & Applied Sciences received the Tanom Bernard Watson Scholarship on Aug. 26. The scholarship honors the late Bernard Watson, a farmer and agroecologist who contributed to the farm community and the University of Guam as a collaborator, educator, and innovator for more than 30 years.
The annual scholarship awards $1,000 to a graduate student in the Sustainable Agriculture,
Food & Natural Resources (SAFNR) program and $500 to undergraduate students in the
Agriculture & Life Sciences (ALS) program.

The next application period for the Tanom Bernard Watson Scholarship will be announced
on the UOG Endowment Foundation website.
Community members interested in contributing to the Tanom Bernard Watson Scholarship
fund may contribute through the UOG Endowment Foundation. One-time donations or payment arrangements are both welcome.
