The University of Guam Lambda Psi chapter of the Alpha Phi Sigma national criminal justice honor society inducted 10 undergraduate students at a ceremony held on Dec. 11 at the School of Business and Public Administration. Special guests Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio and Sen. Amanda Shelton were present to help recognize the new members along with 10 members who graduated this semester.

Since its inception in April 2010, the UOG Lambda Psi chapter has inducted more than 200 undergraduate, graduate, and honorary members. Student inductees to the national honor society must have completed four criminal justice courses and three full-time semesters at a regionally accredited institution, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2, and rank in the top 35th percentile of their class. 

The honor society recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate, graduate, and juris doctorate students studying criminal justice. Lambda Psi also seeks to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity.
