Message from the President: In-person classes for Finakpo' and Fanuchånan 2021
To: UOG Students
From: Thomas W. Krise, President
Date: May 12, 2021
Subject: In-Person CLasses for Finakpo’ and Fanuchånan 2021
I am happy to announce that the University of Guam will be offering in-person classes
for the
Finakpo’ (June-August) sessions and for the Fanuchånan (August-December) 2021 semester.
Online, hybrid, and hyflex options will also be offered for some courses.
Our island community has seen a decline in COVID-19 infections over the last few months.
The
vaccination efforts by the Governor’s Office, Department of Public Health & Social
Services
(DPHSS), Guam National Guard (GUNG), the University of Guam, and other partners have
achieved Governor Leon Guerrero’s goal of vaccinating 50% of adults by May 1, and
we seem to
be on track to achieve her goal of 80% vaccinated by Liberation Day.
We are excited to welcome students back to the campus as we continue on the island’s
road to
recovery.
Here’s what to expect when you come back to campus:
Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming semester.

partnered to host vaccination clinic times specifically for UOG and GCC students and
employees
this month at the Calvo Field House.
Reserved times are from 1 to 3 p.m. on the following days:
Make an appointment online at the links above, or simply walk in and show your UOG
ID or other
proof attendance or employment to be expedited through the vaccination process.
Counseling Services and Resources
The pandemic has taken a toll physically, spiritually, and mentally on many of us.
We value your
health and wellness. If you need counseling services or someone to listen, please
contact one of
the programs below:
Though we’ve been physically apart, the “Triton Spirit” and our mission of Ina, Deskubre,
Setbe
have kept us connected. We can’t wait until our campus is once again filled with the
life, energy,
and hope that only our Triton Community can bring. See you soon.
Biba UOG!
