Passionate about health? Apply by March 15 to be a BUILD EXITO scholar
Students, are you curious about research and passionate about solving health issues? If you have three years left until you complete your degree, you can apply to join UOG's sixth cohort of the BUILD EXITO program, which will provide you with hands-on research mentoring and training throughout your undergraduate degree program.
The program is looking for undergraduate students who are interested in addressing health disparities and want to pursue a degree in the biomedical, social, behavioral, clinical, health, or bioengineering fields.
Based at Portland State University, BUILD EXITO offers UOG students a pathway to graduation and beyond with enhanced science education, dedicated advising, and opportunities for hands-on research experiences. Students who are accepted into the program will be trained, mentored, and supported as a community of scholars with the ultimate goal of preparing to solve important health issues through research in the social sciences and biomedical fields.
You don't need to have prior research experience or think of yourself as a scientist — BUILD EXITO will help you prepare for a future research career.
To be eligible for the program, students must:
