The Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service at the University of Guam will host its 26th Annual Guam System for Assistive Technology Conference virtually from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 6, and again on Friday, Nov. 13.
Co-sponsored by the Guam Legal Services Corp. – Disability Law Center and the Guam Developmental Disabilities Council, the conference is intended for individuals with disabilities as well as family members, caregivers, employers, senior living providers, students, therapists, educators, and individuals from local organizations and the community who provide support to individuals with disabilities.
“This virtual conference will showcase innovation at home — how to craft AT devices at home — and also how AT has evolved over the years,” said June De Leon, interim director for Guam CEDDERS. “During these times, innovative solutions at home will be the key to meeting today’s challenges.”
Following the theme “Creating Opportunities in a Changing World,” the conference will include two keynote presentations:
