Now available for safe studying on campus: Green Zones
In response to the needs of UOG students for access to safe study and learning spaces with internet connectivity on campus, the university has set up Green Zone study spaces. Green Zones feature high-speed Wi-Fi and socially distanced, sanitized spaces (and in some cases, computer equipment) that students can use to study, work on projects, participate in online learning, and complete assignments.
In a recent student poll on internet access and study spaces found that 25% of students do not have reliable high-speed internet access and 41% may not have dedicated space for attending online classes. Green Zones provide both.
There are six Green Zones on-campus open to all students. Students can reserve a time and space at www.uog.edu/greenzones. Computer equipment is also available to sign out to students if needed through the deans' offices or the OIT HelpDesk at helpdesk@triton.uog.edu.
